Propa Pots - Hassle-free seed growing!

Hi all,

I just wanted to give you an update of where we are in Pauline’s Plants. The Advent of Spring kits have now started and with the dedicated Facebook group called Pauline’s Planting Club. Click here.  With video support being uploaded to my dedicated YouTube Channel it is great to see how many people are getting involved and learning to grow plants from seed. There are lots of growing badges available in the kits and I hope everyone is enjoying collecting them. I am really looking forward to seeing the progress over the coming weeks.

To follow on from this I have developed the next new product to help people to learn to grow from seed and learn to love the process. I am introducing Pauline’s Propa-pots to you. I was looking at the plastic pots when I was drinking from one and I thought how great these would be as a mini propagator. The pot is deep enough to allow roots to develop and the mini domed lid is great for keeping warmth and moisture in while seeds germinate.

I then tackled each problem that beginners face when growing seeds and designed the kit around this to ensure they had the best possible chance of success. Watering is a big issue as people never know if they are putting enough in or not. The straw in the centre helps to guide the water to the bottom of the pot by delivery through the syringe. The gravel at the bottom is easy to see and if it looks dry then the pot needs watering.

The vermiculite on the top helps with germination of seeds by being light enough to allow light to bounce through and new seedlings to pop up. Once the seedlings touch the lid they are then big enough for the lid of the pot to be removed and allow the seeds to grow.

The last, and most important part of the kit is the growing journal. You can get top tips, make notes and stick your stickers in each month to show what you are growing. See if you can collect stickers for all 12 months of the year. There is a subscription available so you can receive either edible or flower kits each month for you to grow a variety of different plants.

I really look forward to seeing your progress and hope you enjoy growing using Pauline’s Propa-Pots.

Good Luck

Pauline
